Live Event Painting
Looking to make your event something to remember? How about a live painter? Complete the form at the bottom of this page to get started.
When you hire Erin for live painting, your event becomes part of the artwork. She’ll paint on-site throughout your celebration, capturing the atmosphere, setting, and meaningful moments as they unfold.
Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, private dinner, family celebration, or special gathering, guests can watch an original painting come to life in real time.
Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, Erin creates expressive contemporary paintings ranging from impressionistic landscapes to abstract interpretations. The finished artwork becomes a one-of-a-kind keepsake, created during your event and made to be enjoyed for years to come.
Live event painting is what will make your next celebration stand out!
I'm known for creating impressionistic scenes inspired by nature with a modern twist, as showcased here. This style is hugely popular for live event painting. Typically, I'll paint the event's surroundings or work from a landscape image that you love.

The Process
1. Reach Out
Interested in having me paint live at your event? Fill out the form below and tell me a little about your event, including the occasion, location, date, time, and vision for the painting.
I’m based in Colorado and available for events throughout the United States and internationally. Travel fees apply for events outside the local area.
2. Let’s Chat
I’ll get back to you with availability, pricing, and next steps based on your event, guest count, location, and the size and style of painting you’re interested in.
We’ll discuss your vision, including color palette, composition, and artistic style, so the finished piece feels personal to your event and your space.
You can explore examples of my live painting and studio work on Instagram at @erinoostra or through my portfolio.
3. Make It Official
Once we’ve settled on the details, I’ll send over a contract for digital signature.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date, with the remaining balance due on the day of the event.
Your date is officially secured once the signed contract and deposit have been received.
4. Your Event
I’ll arrive approximately one hour before the event to set up, unless we’ve discussed a different timeline.
I’ll bring everything needed to create the painting, including my easel, folding table, drop cloth, paints, brushes, and other painting supplies.
Throughout the event, guests can watch the painting come to life and see the piece develop in real time. Live painting adds a unique artistic experience to your event while creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home.
If you'd like, I can also bring a small selection of prints or artwork available for guests to purchase during the event.
5. The Finished Piece
I’ll paint throughout the event, working toward a finished piece that captures the atmosphere, setting, and feeling of the occasion.
Depending on the size and style of the painting, the piece may be completed and ready to take home at the end of the event. If additional detailing, drying, or finishing work is needed, I’ll complete the painting in my studio afterward and coordinate delivery or shipping with you.
Your event becomes part of the artwork, creating a meaningful original painting you can keep long after the celebration ends.

Short answer: no. I usually paint the surrounding scenery, something abstract, or a PNW-related landscape. I love to capture the colors, mood, and beauty of the day in a modern and inspiring way rather than painting a specific scene. This way the image is more likely to endure the test of time in style and beauty. Feel free to scroll through my Instagram feed for inspiration!
