I'm Erin Oostra, a contemporary artist with a passion for travel. My nature-inspired artwork reflects the many incredible places I've explored, and I'm excited to broaden my creative horizons even further. That's why I'm introducing my Custom Art Trade Program.

I'm seeking to collaborate with those who appreciate my work and are interested in a unique trade: exchanging my art, dollar for dollar, for a stay at your vacation rental. The artwork I create can be tailored specifically for your space, or it can simply be a piece that I work on before or during my stay. The choice is yours to display it however you like.

So you want some custom art for a trade?
Here is what the process looks like:

  • 1. Reach out

    Please use the form below to tell me about yourself and the type of artwork you're interested in. This is also the perfect time to share your preferred colors and dimensions, along with any inspirational photos—whether you've taken them yourself or saved them from other sources. If any of my previous work has caught your eye, feel free to reference it as well.

    Additionally, please provide a link or proof of your vacation rental. This will help me understand the space and your style, ensuring that the artwork complements your environment perfectly.

  • 2. Let's chat

    I'm thrilled to collaborate with you! Please complete the form at the bottom of this page, and I'll get back to you promptly to address any questions about the artwork you're interested in (see the rough pricing guide below).

    For the artwork: We'll finalize the size, colors, pricing, and art style you're looking for. We can also discuss options for shipping, pick-up, or delivery.

    For the vacation rental trade: We'll confirm non-peak dates and the duration of my stay to ensure everything is perfectly aligned.

  • 3. Green light

    We'll solidify our agreement with a contract that clearly outlines all the details we've discussed. This contract ensures that your rental property is safe and legitimate and that I will create and deliver the agreed-upon artwork as promised. It will cover specifics like the artwork's size, color scheme, style, and delivery logistics, as well as the confirmed dates and duration of my stay for the vacation rental trade.

    This step is simply a safeguard to ensure everything goes smoothly, allowing us to focus on creating something truly special together.

  • 4. I get to work

    Once the contract is signed, I will begin working on your commission. Each piece is unique, with timelines varying based on size and style. Depending on our prior agreement, I can either start and complete the artwork before your stay or create it during my time at the vacation rental.

    Regardless of the approach, I will keep you updated by emailing photos of the painting as it progresses, ensuring you're informed every step of the way.

  • 5. You get your custom art

    As part of the art trade, complimentary delivery to your vacation rental is included. I will personally deliver and hang the artwork during my stay on the agreed-upon dates, ensuring it’s perfectly placed in your space.

    If you prefer the artwork to be shipped to a different location, an additional fee will apply.

  • 6. You're happy

    The final artwork is now elegantly displayed in your space, seamlessly enhancing the room's aesthetic. You are thrilled with the result and have enjoyed a smooth and rewarding collaboration throughout the process.

    Your satisfaction with both the artwork and the experience is evident, and as you share your positive experience with friends and acquaintances, they may be inspired to explore their own custom art commissions or participate in art trade opportunities.

Art Value (for trade)

The cost of commissioned artwork is based on the size of the piece you wish to have created. Pricing starts at $1,100 for a 16x20" canvas and can reach up to $3,000 for a 48x60” master canvas. The following provides an overview of some of the most popular sizes.

The listed prices reflect a one-to-one exchange rate for artwork. Should you have a different size in mind, please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your specific requirements.
