After all of the busyness and the break, it cemented a feeling I’ve been having for a long time. I want to move away from the constant selling and offer you a glimpse into the sources that fuel my creations, drawn from my day-to-day observations. These influences range from the subtle allure of a dazzling blue to more expansive inspirations like the scenic views from a road trip. Perhaps, as the year unfolds, we can reflect on the art I produce and discern which inspirations resonated the most.

I’ve been working on something new: a series of alphabetical letter designs to speak to who you are. The idea is that you would use these to highlight the first letter of your last name and place it in your entryway, spell out your favorite word, or even place it in a bedroom/nursery highlighting the first letter of a name.

Erin Oostra is a graphic designer, artist, and art gallery owner who took a leap of faith and quit her corporate design job to pursue her true passion as a full-time artist. It was a risky move, but the rewards have been immeasurable.
