Role: Founder, brand & website designer, artist, photographer, social media
Overview: I created the brand, website, & art for Canvas/Coasts along with artistic contributions from my friend Kelsey. As artists and explorers at heart we would find rest from our busy schedules by going to the mountains. Here is where we began to draw together, inspired by the world around us and eager to create anything away from a computer screen.
Canvas/Coasts was an art and travel project. Using an exploratory, open, and artistic lens, our goal was to get outside, decompress, and create. My job then was to post that art on our website, deal with the digital and hands-on sales elements, highlight our work and adventures in our social media feeds, and write little blog posts about different elements of our journey.

Role: Co-founder, graphic design lead, fine artist, and weekly in-person volunteer
Overview: Inspired by the hidden creative talents of those inflicted by hardship in our community, Soul Societies originated as a personal mission to bring art supplies to those who don't otherwise have access to them. Beyond bringing art materials, our goal is to provide an opportunity for the creatives in our community to volunteer their time and talents.
Along with co-founding, weekly volunteering, and painting for the cause, my role was to create the Soul Societies brand & guidelines, start and maintain the website & social media accounts, and build any related creative assets. Design-wise, we hope to remain inviting, engaging, and trustworthy. Overall we are still a work in progress, gaining our non-profit status, and expanding to more outlets in the Seattle area.

Overview: Lead designer for Uncommon Cartography: a service to help clients discover, enhance, and amplify their brand's story. I was in charge of all branding and related assets from print to digital/social. Worked closely and efficiently with business owner to ensure a cohesive look across multiple platforms. Then brought design, copy, and photography into a Wordpress theme and created the user interface of the website.
For branding we chose two primary logos: one long-form & one short-form to be used as needed. The goal was to be authoritative, modern, & inspiring, which we achieved through combining serif & sans-serif typefaces into wordmarks and logomarks.

SHOP HER CLOSET (SHC) is centered around bringing the Seattle blogging community together, building exposure to the brands they’re passionate about and creating a spirit of fellowship and diversity, and bringing philanthropic consciousness to this new industry. It's a blogging event that is one-part pop-in shop, one-part philanthropy, and one-part party. Ten high-profile fashion bloggers from the Seattle area attend the event to sell items from their blogs and all of the sale proceeds will go to SHC's partner, Dress for Success Seattle.
My job was to work with the coordinators of the event from the very beginning. I created a logo as well as brand guidelines that would determine the look of the entire project. As a sponsored event, I created a Media Kit to be sent to potential sponsors, digital event invites for the participant's pre-launch party as well as the official event invites honoring all who were participating.
The design goal for SHC was to appear community-based, fashion-inspired, and philanthropic-driven. This was achieved through friendly hand-drawn type with matching logomark and dynamic positioning. Additional assets included staff t-shirts, a snapchat filter, Eventbrite headers and more.
